Cigars and Legs is a series that starts with Ron Cavanaugh, when he comes home from Korea, in the book The Boots Are Red. He takes over the detective practice that Kate Nass was running, looking to hunt down his killer.
The Boots Come Off is the second book in the series, also starring Ron. In it, he wraps up the original case he started with.
The White Dames is a series of short stories that take place shortly after The Boots Come Off.
